Verified addresses, unsubscribing, bounces, and allowlisting Tracemill notification email.
Tracemill emails each member at the address of their Tracemill Cloud account. The Email card at the top of Workspace → Notifications shows the address and whether Tracemill can send to it.
Verified address
Tracemill sends only to a verified address. An address is verified when your sign-in confirms you own it: your sign-in provider reports it as verified, or you signed in through your organisation's single sign-on.
If the card shows Unverified, nothing is emailed to you. Messages addressed to you are recorded in your delivery history as Not sent: email address not verified. If you change your account's email address, the new address must be verified the same way before email resumes.
Unsubscribe
Every notification email has an Unsubscribe link in its footer, and supports one-click unsubscribe from mail clients that offer it.
The link opens a page that asks you to confirm — opening the link alone changes nothing, so link scanners cannot unsubscribe you. Confirming stops only the stream that email belonged to, in that email's workspace:
| Unsubscribing | |
|---|---|
| Immediate alert | Sets every class on Immediate to Off for All targets, and removes per-target overrides set to Immediate |
| Daily or weekly digest | Sets every class on that cadence to Off for All targets, and removes per-target overrides set to that cadence; the digest schedule shows Not in use |
| Scheduled report | Pauses that scheduled report |
Classes whose override was removed follow All targets again. To undo an unsubscribe, change the settings back under Workspace → Notifications; resume a paused report with Resume.
Bounces and spam reports
If email to your address bounces permanently, or you report a Tracemill email as spam, Tracemill stops emailing that address. The Email card says why, and messages are recorded as Not sent: email address bounced or reported spam. Temporary bounces do not stop email.
When the problem is fixed, choose Resume email on the card:
- After a spam report, you can resume at any time.
- After a bounce, you can resume once every 7 days; the card shows when you can try again.
Resuming needs a verified address and membership of an active workspace.
Allowlist Tracemill email
Tracemill notification email is sent from its own subdomain, separate from sign-in email, so your mail filters can treat it on its own:
| Value | |
|---|---|
| From | Tracemill <notifications@notify.tracemill.io> |
| Sending domain | notify.tracemill.io |
| Return path (SPF) | mail.notify.tracemill.io |
| DKIM signing domain | notify.tracemill.io |
| Reply-To | support@tracemill.io |
Messages are DKIM-signed and pass SPF and DMARC for notify.tracemill.io. If
your mail gateway quarantines or delays them, add an allow rule for the sender
notifications@notify.tracemill.io or the domain notify.tracemill.io, based
on the authenticated domain rather than sending IP addresses — the sending
addresses are shared and change without notice.
